OARS conducts EIVA training
AUSTIN, TX, USA — Due to increased demand for data processors with knowledge of EIVA post-processing modules, Offshore Analysis and Research Solutions (OARS) recently hosted its fourth training course of 2012. Offshore professionals from around the world gathered to gain valuable training on multibeam data processing utilizing NaviEdit, NaviModel, and Contour.
The course, which was held in Grants Pass, Oregon, USA, was led by Donald Brouillette, a senior hydrographic data processor at OARS. Twelve contractors from the Pacific Northwest to as far away as Australia expanded their skill sets to include EIVA processing software. The course was held free of charge for current contractors, with EIVA generously supplying the software licenses.
“We were excited by the number of contractors that expressed an interest in the course,” said OARS Project Manager, Ryan Thomas. “One of our main goals is to provide clients with contract personnel that exceed their requirements, and sometimes the only way to do that is to provide subsidized software and survey methodology training to as many of our associates as possible.”
Training courses hosted by OARS in 2012 included: QPS QINSy, Forum Visualsoft, and Teledyne Blueview. A 4-day Visualsoft training course is expected to be held in Austin, Texas, USA in the first quarter of 2013.
